Funko POP! NBA Legends: Michael Jordan – White All Stars 1988
This figure captures Michael Jordan in his 1988 All Stars uniform, crafted from durable vinyl for lasting display quality. It’s a standout for NBA fans who want a detailed, iconic representation of their favorite player. Compared to the NFL sets, this figure focuses on a single star, offering finer craftsmanship and a more collectible feel. The main tradeoff is limited information on its size and lack of exclusive features—it’s primarily a display piece rather than a versatile or interactive figure.
Pros:- High-quality, durable vinyl
- Iconic NBA figure
- Great for gifting or display
Cons:- Limited info on dimensions
- No exclusive or rare features
Best for: NBA fans and Funko collectors seeking a high-quality, detailed figure

Our verdict“An excellent pick for NBA enthusiasts valuing craftsmanship over variety.”
Funko POP! NFL: Legends – Walter Payton
This Walter Payton figure offers a classic NFL icon in a 4-inch vinyl form, featuring his Chicago Bears jersey. It’s a reliable choice for fans wanting a durable, official NFL collectible that’s just the right size for shelves or desks. While it’s well-made and detailed, it’s a single figure with no accessories, which may feel limiting for buyers seeking more interactive or elaborate collectibles. Its size is ideal for display but small for intricate detailing.
Pros:- High-quality vinyl
- Official NFL merchandise
- Perfect for shelf display
Cons:- Limited to NFL fans of Payton or Bears
- Only one figure
- Size may be small for some collectors

Joe Montana (San Francisco 49ers) NFL Funko Pop! Legends Series Combo (2)
This set features two Joe Montana figures in different jerseys, each about 3.75 inches tall. The stylized vinyl design makes them suitable for fans wanting a versatile, compact display of an NFL legend. While the set offers variety with two jerseys, it’s limited to Joe Montana fans and lacks articulation or additional accessories, which could diminish appeal for those seeking more interactive figures. The size makes them easy to place on desks or shelves.
Pros:- Includes two different Montana figures
- Compact and easy to display
- Stylized, collectible design
Cons:- Limited to Joe Montana fans
- No articulation or extra features
- No additional accessories
Best for: Fans of Joe Montana or collectors seeking a multi-jersey display
Not ideal for: Those wanting larger, articulated, or multi-legend collections
- Item Dimensions:3″L x 3″W x 4″H
- Number of Pieces:2
- Item Weight:8 ounces

Our verdict“Great for Montana fans who want a small, versatile display set but not for those seeking detailed or articulated figures.”
Funko POP! NFL Legends: Terrell Owens (49ers)
This Terrell Owens figure is highly detailed, capturing the wide receiver’s uniform in vibrant red and gold. Standing around 4 inches tall, it’s a prominent display piece for NFL fans and Funko collectors who want a more intricate collectible. Compared with smaller or less detailed figures, this one offers a more realistic appearance but may be considered small for detailed display purposes. The absence of articulation or accessories limits its playability but boosts its display quality.
Pros:- Highly detailed design
- Durable vinyl material
- Perfect for NFL or Funko fans
Cons:- Limited to NFL fans of Terrell Owens or 49ers
- No articulation or accessories
- Size might be small for intricate displays
Best for: NFL fans and collectors desiring detailed, high-quality figures

How We Picked
My choices are based on a combination of build quality, display appeal, variety, and value for different types of collectors. I prioritized officially licensed figures with high-quality vinyl, considering how well they represent their sports legends. Each product was compared for its uniqueness, size suitability, and potential as a gift or display piece. Tradeoffs like limited articulation or size were factored into the rankings to match different collector needs and budgets.
Factors to Consider When Choosing Funko Pop Sports Legends Series
Choosing the right Funko Pop Sports Legends figure depends on your collection goals, display space, and whether you prefer full sets or individual stars. Consider whether you want highly detailed, realistic figures or stylized, collectible pieces. Size, articulation, and licensing also influence value and presentation, so aligning these factors with your preferences will help you pick the best fit.Display or Collecting Goals
If your aim is a complete NFL team display, the Funko NFL Legends Set offers a comprehensive option. For fans focused on individual icons like Michael Jordan or Terrell Owens, high-quality, detailed figures provide a more premium look. Consider whether you want a set for decoration or a single figure for a special gift or highlight in your collection.
Size and Articulation
Most figures in this series are around 3.75 to 4 inches tall, making them suitable for shelves and desks. Articulated figures are rare in this lineup, so if you want posable collectibles, you may need to look elsewhere. For display purposes, static figures with detailed paintwork and accurate features tend to deliver better visual impact.
Licensing and Authenticity
Official NFL and NBA licensing ensures authenticity, which matters if you value collector’s integrity. The Funko branding guarantees quality, but it also impacts price. Be mindful of whether you prefer licensed collectibles or are open to more generic options, which may be cheaper but less authentic.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are Funko Pop Sports Legends figures poseable?
The majority of these figures are static with no articulated joints, designed primarily for display. If you want poseable figures, you might need to look at other brands or specialized lines, as Funko’s focus is on collectible, stylized figures rather than action play.
What size are these figures typically?
Most figures in the Sports Legends series are around 3.75 to 4 inches tall, making them compact enough for shelves, desks, or display cases. Size consistency varies slightly between different figures, so check specific product details if size is a priority for your display setup.
Are these figures officially licensed?
Yes, all figures in this series are officially licensed by NFL or NBA, ensuring authenticity and quality. Licensing guarantees accurate team uniforms and player likenesses, which is especially important for dedicated collectors seeking genuine memorabilia.
Can I get these figures with accessories or in special editions?
Most figures in this lineup are simple vinyl representations without additional accessories or special variants. For limited editions or figures with extra features, you might need to explore exclusive releases or other collectible lines outside the core Funko Sports Legends series.
Are these figures suitable as gifts?
Absolutely. Their compact size, official licensing, and detailed design make them excellent gifts for sports fans and Funko collectors alike. However, consider the recipient’s interest in static display figures, as these aren’t designed for play or interaction.
Conclusion
For avid NFL or NBA fans seeking a complete and authentic display, the Funko NFL Legends Complete Set offers a comprehensive solution. Those who prioritize high detail and iconic player representation may prefer the Michael Jordan All Stars. Casual collectors or fans of Joe Montana will find the Montana duo practical and versatile. Meanwhile, dedicated NFL enthusiasts looking for highly detailed, collectible figures of specific players like Terrell Owens should consider the Legends: Owens. Ultimately, your choice hinges on whether you want a full set, a single iconic figure, or a multi-jersey display—each pick caters to distinct preferences within the sports memorabilia landscape.
